Now that the summer season has descended upon us by virtue of the Memorial Day weekend just gone by, yet unofficially since the Summer Solstice does not take place til the mid to end of June, we can appreciate this more than lovely print by acclaimed artist Diane Romanello.

Among Friends I by Diane Romanello is set on a picturesque boardwalk or open deck with homey pots of flowers behind two Adirondack chairs, looking out over a great bay or river, towards the town on the other side. In the distance are mountains and the clouds that follow the setting sun, the sun’s reflection on the peaceful waters.

What a calm and serene end to what must have been a busy day, rewarded by the invite beckoned by these two very inviting chairs!
